As dental technology evolves, procedures that were once time consuming and occasionally painful have become increasingly quick, comfortable, and pain-free. Dr. Mark Anderson is dedicated to providing his patients with the latest state-of-the-art technology as part of his continuing effort to make the dental experience as pleasant and efficient as possible. We invite you to learn about some of the advanced technology we use in our practice, and then contact Anderson Dental to schedule a consultation with Dr. Anderson.
Laser Dentistry Featuring Biolase Technology
Laser dentistry is the most innovative and efficient method of treating cavities, tooth decay, discolored teeth, and the problems associated with gum disease. This technology virtually eliminates the pain and discomfort that were considered inevitable parts of dental care in the past, allowing you to achieve a whiter, healthier smile without invasive surgery or swelling. We are proud to bring this advanced technology to our patients in southeastern Wyoming.
Dr. Anderson is particularly pleased to feature the latest in laser dentistry products from Biolase, including the revolutionary Waterlase system. The Waterlase system uses laser-energized water to accomplish the work of traditional drills, giving Dr. Anderson the ability to perform a wide range of hard- and soft-tissue procedures quickly and painlessly. This system produces no heat or vibration in the mouth; unlike traditional drills, it cuts teeth quietly and gently. In a test conducted at the University of the Pacific, over 98% of patients treated with Waterlase reported feeling no discomfort whatsoever. Indeed, in some cases, Dr. Anderson can perform procedures using Waterlase without anesthetic. Truly, this technology is ideal for patients who have resisted going to the dentist because they have feared the dreaded drill.
Comfort, convenience, and effectiveness are only three of the advantages Biolase technology offers over more traditional methods. Dr. Anderson would love to show you how state-of-the-art equipment can make your dental experience a relaxing and virtually pain-free process. Contact Anderson Dental today to discover for yourself the difference that Biolase technology can make.
CEREC 3D
Restoring damaged teeth with crowns, veneers, and inlays used to require multiple appointments, often spanning weeks if not months. Now, with CEREC 3D, Dr. Anderson can complete your cosmetic dental work in a single office visit. This remarkable technology is perfect for those patients with busy schedules who want immediate results. Plus, because CEREC restorations are made of ceramic material, they are both highly resilient and biologically friendly, in accordance with Dr. Anderson’s commitment to operating a metal- and mercury-free practice.
CEREC, or Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, requires about an hour per tooth. First, Dr. Anderson uses a special, highly precise camera to make a digital impression of your teeth. The CEREC 3D machine then uses this image to design a custom restoration for you, matching the color to the shade of your natural teeth. The machine then mills an absolutely accurate restoration out of ceramic material while you wait. Using the latest technology in adhesive dentistry, Dr. Anderson then bonds the new restoration to your tooth, and you are ready to reveal your improved smile to the world.
The restorations produced by the CEREC 3D system are both durable and extraordinarily natural looking. With proper maintenance, your restoration will last for years, bringing you the confidence and grace that only an immaculate smile can provide.
Digital X-Rays
In addition to incorporating Biolase and CEREC 3D technologies into our practice, Anderson Dental is proud to feature digital x-ray technology. Using the only digital x-ray system currently approved by the American Dental Association, we can now produce a crystal clear image in about 20 seconds. This computer image is much easier for patients to decipher than traditional x-rays, allowing Dr. Anderson to explain findings and procedures in far more comprehensible detail than previously possible. In addition, digital x-rays are significantly safer than their traditional counterparts, reducing radiation by up to 90%. This, coupled with the fact that no chemicals are involved in processing the x-rays, further permits Dr. Anderson to provide convenient, comfortable dentistry that is also biologically friendly.
